Kids Go STEM!

This free educational program is targeted to students in grades 6 through 8, but anyone is welcome to participate. Space is limited; advanced registration is required and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. This virtual event will take place in live Zoom sessions.

Students: Join medical and health sciences students and professionals from the University of Iowa for interactive and virtual medical simulations, experiments, and more that you can follow along at home to explore careers in STEM, STEM concepts, and your health!

Adults: Gain special access to pre-recorded presentations from University of Iowa experts on topics including STEM, academic preparation, adolescent health, and more!

This program is hosted through Zoom. You will receive detailed instructions on accessing the sessions the week of the program.

You will be asked to complete information for the adult/chaperone sponsoring the student. We recommend that you complete this registration with your student, so they’re able to select sessions that best suit their interests. Below, a complete list of sessions is available to download and print. The student has the opportunity to select two different sessions. Please note that availability of each session is first-come, first-served and all session selections will be final. Click here to view the Student Session List.

Important notice: In accordance with University of Iowa Risk Management Policy, and to ensure the safety of your child, an adult is required to complete acknowledgement of a waiver and release form and participant agreement form during registration for this online youth program for each student. Click here to review the forms prior to registration. While adult supervision is not required during this online program, we encourage you to watch along with your student. All program sessions will be recorded and archived for safety. There will not be any 1:1 interactions during this program. Program presenters will be screened and required to complete youth program training.
